The third Now You See Me film is conjuring its way into theaters, and today Lionsgate released a trailer with panache in New York City’s Times Square, complete with newcomers to the franchise—Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa—performing a “heist” to celebrate the moment.
Luckily for all of us not in Times Square at that moment, the trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is also online, and in it we get our first understanding of the feature’s plot. In this third film, which comes out almost a decade after the second one, the original magicians, The Four Horsemen, are broken up. They end up getting back together again, however, along with a new generation of illusionists thanks to magic head honcho, Thaddeus (Morgan Freeman). He has brought the eight of them together, and I quote, to “bring down two generations of criminals with a single sleight of hand.”
Those criminals, I might add, are led by Rosamund Pike, because you deserve nice things from time to time.
Now You Don’t is directed by Ruben Fleischer, who, in addition to helming Venom, also directed the video game adaptation, Uncharted. It once again stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher as the Four Horsemen.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t premieres in theaters on November 14, 2025.
