Netflix’s animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has uncovered a second season. Netflix announced today via their Tudum website that the show will get more episodes, and that after Season One’s “origin story of sorts,” Lara will move on from being “somewhat of a rookie” to the icon we know from the franchise’s video games and live-action films.
Here’s the official logline for Season Two:
“Season One, thematically, is about Lara embracing how her dad dealt with grief, which was isolating,” showrunner Tasha Huo told Tudum. “When we meet Lara, she’s very isolated… As we get into Season Two, we’re trying to build Lara’s team over the course of the show, so she goes from isolated hero, who only wants to do things on her own—a lone wolf—to realizing, ‘Actually, I have this really cool team behind me.’”
No news yet on when Season Two will premiere on Netflix. The entire first season is now streaming on the platform.
