The fourth Spider-Man movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is scheduled to go into production sometime this year, and it appears that Stranger Things actor Sadie Sink will be in it.
According to Deadline, Sink will co-star along with Tom Holland, who is once again playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man. While we don’t have confirmation on who Sink will play, Deadline reports that “the prevailing theory” is she’ll be Jean Grey, a member of the X-Men who has psionic powers. That’s just conjecture at this point, however, though the fact that she will have a significant role in the movie is not surprising given that at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter effectively erases knowledge of himself thanks to Doctor Strange.
Details on the MCU film remain sparse, though we do know Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton is helming the project. No Way Home writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers also wrote the script for the fourth film.
Sink is best known for playing Max on Stranger Things (the fifth and final season should hit Netflix later this year), and she starred in the R.L. Stine film adaptation Fear Street Part Two: 1978 (pictured above) also available on Netflix. Sink will be in the Broadway production of John Proctor Is the Villain set to debut on April 4, 2025.
